Tally / Match night

The match, as it happens.

The court on your iPad or phone, with every player's buttons on them. Win the rally and the score, the serve and the rotation move on their own.

The match court on an iPad: six players in their positions with their buttons, the score, the bench and the last points

One tap per touch

No player to pick. No mode to choose.

A match opens on the court, a practice on the cards. Every player has a button for what they can be doing right now: the server's serve, the back row's pass, everyone's dig and attack. An ace, a kill or an error scores the point on its own.

  • 1Subs by drag or two taps. Liberos come in for their middle at the right moment.
  • 2Same six as last match. The rematch lineup is one tick on New session.
  • 3Fix a mistake later. Change any of the last ten ratings, or take back a point from three rallies ago.

After +1 Them, a card asks how they scored: Kill, Tool, Block or Our error

The Board

What the bench cannot see.

Side-out and break-point rates, plus or minus for every rotation, every player's line for every skill, a timeout alert when they run three in a row, and between sets the rotation to start the next one in.

The Board on a laptop: the score card and serve target in the rail, the team's figures, the six rotations and every player's line

Opponent scout

Who to serve, during the match.

After each of your serves, tap the jersey number that received it. Tally weighs an ace above an out-of-system pass, compares each receiver with the rest of their side, and names the one your serve is hurting, and who to serve meanwhile when they rotate to the front row.

The Board's opponent scout on a phone: who to serve, each receiver's passing against our serves, and the side's totals

The Map

Their kills, by zone and by hitter.

Heat, dots or zones, the zone they keep finding, their hitters by kills over attempts, and filters by rotation, shot and result.

The Map on an iPad: a heat map of their kills and their hitters

After the match

Hand the whole match to an AI.

Export for AI writes the match as one file for ChatGPT or Claude: the scales, every set and rotation, the opponent scout, and every touch in order with its time. Ask it what to work on Monday.
